The Ministry of God

The Ministry of God. Wow. It's a concept that boggles me. God comes to Earth and teaches us, by His model, how to walk His walk. He straps on sandles and goes out, without a home, to pursue encounters with people. He earns their ear by bringing His bared mercy to the role of servant, healing and loving and ministering to the people He created.

He in Whom all things were made, in Whom all find their very breath, He came and served.

We looked to His model of having feet that go and planted roots. He asked us to be like Him. We looked to his disdain for the holier-than-thou religiosity of the powers that were and became the holier-than-thou powers that be. He in whom the judgement is just, brought grace and carried our sins to the Roman cross of torturous death. We in whom death is justly earned, accepted His grace--then took on the role of judge.

So... the question isn't "Where did it go wrong?" That's a moot point--wrong it went, and here we are. The question is "What are we going to do about it?

Stay tuned.
